CDAnet Dental Software: Verification Questions
Check CDAnet support with the Canadian Dental Association and your software vendor. Separate claims compatibility from broader product readiness.
At a glance
When evaluating CDAnet dental software, confirm the exact product, version and electronic claims services supported for your practice. Use the Canadian Dental Association’s current service information and request written confirmation from the vendor; do not infer compatibility from a Canada-focused website.
The private prototype supports saved patient profiles, scheduling, visit statuses and recall tracking. Clinical, billing, insurance, messaging and website integrations described in our roadmap are not yet available for clinical use.
Review what is available →Start with the practice’s requirements
Identify the electronic claims tasks your office needs and the software currently used. Ask the vendor to explain supported transactions, responses and error handling for your configuration. Record any separate service setup, credentials, connectivity requirements or supplier fees.
Verify through the responsible organizations
Use the CDA’s official practice support services as the starting point for current CDAnet and ITRANS information. Request confirmation for the precise software and workflow being evaluated. A vendor’s general description of Canadian support is not enough to establish the details for an implementation.
Demonstrate exceptions
Ask how staff distinguish a transmission problem, a rejected transaction and a response requiring follow-up. Establish who investigates failures and how the software prevents accidental duplicate work. Retain the evidence used to approve the workflow.
Our claims status
The dental prototype does not submit Canadian dental claims and is not presented as CDAnet-certified. Claims services and country-specific integration work remain outstanding. The public site is for evaluation and product enquiries, not live claim processing.
