Orthodontic software

Orthodontic Software Requirements

Evaluate orthodontic software for repeat visits, treatment history, agreements and family coordination. Use a specialty-specific demonstration checklist.

At a glance

This evaluation guide focuses on long treatment courses, repeat visits and separate financial agreements. A specialty label is not evidence that those workflows are complete; ask vendors to demonstrate a realistic case, its records and its handoffs.

Current product stage

The private prototype supports saved patient profiles, scheduling, visit statuses and recall tracking. Clinical, billing, insurance, messaging and website integrations described in our roadmap are not yet available for clinical use.

Demonstrate a representative workflow

Create a fictional course of treatment with planned review visits, an interrupted sequence and a provider change. Ask how the system keeps progress notes, imaging references and appointment history understandable over time.

Check records and responsibility

A treatment agreement, estimate and clinical record serve different purposes. Ask how revisions are dated and how a payment schedule relates to the ledger without rewriting the original agreement.

Test an exception and the next handoff

Test household contact details and cross-location appointments. Identify who can view a child’s record, who receives notices and which office owns a missed follow-up.

Our specialty development status

DentalSoftware.online does not yet offer a released specialty clinical system. The private prototype supports administrative patient profiles, scheduling, visit statuses and recalls with fictional information. Specialty requirements can inform development, but no clinical suitability or launch date is promised.

Common questions

Can this prototype replace our specialty practice system?

No. It is a private administrative development prototype. Clinical and specialty functions need implementation and verification before any practice could consider operational use.
