Treatment planning
Dental Treatment Planning Software Guide
Evaluate phased treatment plans, alternatives, estimate revisions and consent records. Separate clinical recommendations from financial estimates.
At a glance
Dental treatment planning software organizes proposed care, its sequence and the documents used to explain it. Compare how systems preserve alternatives, revisions and the patient’s decision without treating an estimate as consent or insurance approval.
The private prototype supports saved patient profiles, scheduling, visit statuses and recall tracking. Clinical, billing, insurance, messaging and website integrations described in our roadmap are not yet available for clinical use.
Review what is available →Build a multi-visit example
Ask a vendor to show a fictional plan with several phases, different providers and a change in sequence. Review how appointments refer back to planned work. Check what happens when one phase is postponed while the rest of the plan continues.
Keep financial versions understandable
Change a fee or coverage assumption after an estimate has been presented. Ask whether staff can retrieve the earlier estimate and explain the revision. Separate estimated insurer contributions from confirmed payments and record the date of the information used.
Document the conversation
Look for a place to record alternatives discussed, patient questions and agreed next steps. Ask how the signed document relates to the version presented. Software should support the team’s documentation process; it should not make or substitute for a clinician’s recommendation.
Our development status
Treatment planning, clinical consent and estimates remain under development. The current prototype can demonstrate appointments and patient profiles, but does not generate clinical plans or insurance estimates.
Common questions
Is accepting an estimate the same as clinical consent?
Do not assume they are equivalent. Define separate documentation and approval steps with the practice’s clinical and legal advisers.
