Cloud Dental Software: Hosting and Access Guide

Compare cloud dental software hosting, updates, local device needs, connectivity, exports and recovery responsibilities before selecting a vendor.

At a glance

Cloud dental software runs some or all of its services on infrastructure managed outside the practice. Cloud hosting changes responsibilities for access, updates and recovery; it does not by itself prove compliance, device compatibility or uninterrupted availability.

Current product stage

The private prototype supports saved patient profiles, scheduling, visit statuses and recall tracking. Clinical, billing, insurance, messaging and website integrations described in our roadmap are not yet available for clinical use.

Review what is available →

Clarify what is actually hosted

Ask where the application, database, attachments and images operate. Some workflows may still require local components or bridges. Record who maintains each component and whether a vendor, imaging supplier or local IT provider owns a failure.

Plan for a connection failure

Have the vendor explain what remains available during an Internet interruption and which actions must wait. Do not assume offline support exists because a browser page stays open. The practice needs a documented contingency process and a method for reconciling work after restoration.

Review updates and exit options

Ask how changes are announced, how staff learn new workflows and how critical issues are handled. Request an export example and the terms for retrieving records at termination. Hosted access is convenient only when the team understands support and portability.

Our deployment status

The dental prototype is browser-based and hosted, but production patient-data readiness, clinic permissions, recovery operations and country-specific contractual commitments have not been established. Hosting location and compliance must not be inferred from the marketing domain.
