List sensors, scanners, acquisition software, workstations and viewing tools. Record versions and support owners before requesting a demonstration. Ask whether a connection is a launch bridge, a file exchange or a deeper synchronization; those designs have different failure modes.
Test patient matching
Open a fictional patient from the practice system, launch the imaging workflow and return to the record. Test similar names, merged records and a changed patient identifier. Staff need a clear way to spot a mismatch before images are associated with the wrong record.
Preserve files and access
Ask how original files, annotations and acquisition details are stored and exported. Check what remains accessible after a subscription ends and whether viewing requires another license. Have qualified staff assess diagnostic display requirements separately from marketing screenshots.
Integration availability
The prototype does not connect to imaging hardware or store diagnostic images. We can discuss device and interoperability requirements, but no dental imaging integration is currently confirmed.
Common questions
Does a bridge mean images are stored in the practice system?
Not necessarily. A bridge may only launch a separate application. Ask where files live, who backs them up and how they are exported.
